Confap Announces Results of Mobility Confap Italy 2025 Call; Four Espírito Santo Projects Selected
Fapes joined the international call to facilitate and support effective collaboration between Espírito Santo and Italy in scientific, technological, and innovation cooperation.
The National Council of State Research Support Foundations (Confap) has released the first results of the Mobility Confap Italy 2025 call, aimed at supporting the mobility of Brazilian researchers to Italian universities. The Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes) participated in the call and, with the support provided, selected four projects from researchers based in Espírito Santo.
The call was launched in February this year under the Cooperation Agreement signed in June 2023 between Confap and the University of Bologna (UNIBO), which acts as the Technical Secretariat of the Network of Italian Universities. The partnership aims to facilitate and strengthen scientific, technological, and innovation collaboration between the two countries by enabling mobility for Brazilian researchers at the master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels to higher education institutions in Italy.
To support Espírito Santo research, Fapes provided BRL 180,000 in funding to assist visits or technical-scientific internships at one of the institutions in the Italian University Network.
The four selected projects from Espírito Santo are:
-
“Spiritual Dimension and Active Aging: Evidence-Based Practices”, coordinated by Anne Sulivan Lopes da Silva Reis, from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes), in partnership with the University of Verona.
-
“Development of 3D Electrochemical Sensors for Detection and Quantification of Trace Elements and Emerging Pollutants in Honey and Stingless Bee Propolis”, coordinated by José Guilherme Aquino Rodrigues, Ufes, in partnership with the University of Trieste.
-
“Reappropriating Digital Platforms: Shared Citizen Participation Platforms and the ‘iperbole’ Case in Bologna”, coordinated by Leonardo Valbão Venancio, Ufes, in partnership with the University of Bologna.
-
“High-Precision Cosmological Emulator for Gravitational Lensing PDF”, coordinated by Özgen Tunç Türker, Ufes, in partnership with the University of Trieste.
