Fapes Global is an innovation internationalization program that connects startups from Espírito Santo and Brazil to global ecosystems of science, technology, and business. The initiative promotes capacity building, international missions, and qualified access to markets, strategic partners, research centers, and investment opportunities, strengthening the competitiveness and global integration of Espírito Santo’s innovation ecosystem.

The program operates through structured international missions that include prior preparation of participants, immersion in leading innovation ecosystems abroad, and post-mission follow-up. This approach enables entrepreneurs and researchers to focus on generating business opportunities, technological partnerships, and scientific cooperation.

Fapes Global is coordinated by the Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes) and is supported by strategic partners such as Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty), through the Innovation Diplomacy Program, Sebrae Nacional, as well as state-level institutional partners and a specialized internationalization operator.

Program Duration and Objectives

With a duration of three years, Fapes Global aims to internationalize startup businesses, expand international scientific cooperation, and position Espírito Santo as a national reference in sustainable innovation.
