Fapes will provide financial support for collaborative research and technological innovation projects between Brazil and Spain.

The commitment to internationalize scientific, technological, and innovation research produced in Espírito Santo continues at full speed. The Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes) confirmed in early March its participation in the CONFAP & CDTI 2025–2026 Call to support collaborative research and technological innovation projects between Brazil and Spain. The call covers proposals from any sector and is now open for submissions.

Fapes will support up to two proposals, with a maximum of €25,000 per project, totaling €50,000 available for this call. The funding comes from the Espírito Santo State Science and Technology Fund (Funcitec). Each selected project will have a duration of 12 to 36 months, and Fapes’ financial support will cover operational expenses only, excluding scholarships.

The call has two submission rounds: the first round closes on June 26, 2025, and the second on September 12, 2025. Proposals must be submitted through the Confap platform: https://sistema.confap.org.br.

It is important to note that evaluation and project selection will be carried out exclusively by CDTI, as in the 2025 call. Fapes will contact the proponents of selected proposals to register their projects and submit the necessary documents on the Sigfapes platform: https://sigfapes.es.gov.br.
