The Foundation has released the final results of the 3rd round of the Calls for Technical-Scientific Events, Visits, and Fellowships.

The final results of the 3rd round of Calls 20/2024 – Organization of Technical-Scientific Events, 21/2024 – Technical-Scientific Visits, and 22/2024 – Technical-Scientific Fellowships are now available. This Monday (1), the Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes) announced the approval of 129 proposals under these calls, which aim to disseminate scientific knowledge produced by academic institutions in Espírito Santo and to promote exchange opportunities for the state’s graduate students.

“These calls are essential for disseminating scientific knowledge generated in academia and for fostering scientific cooperation, while also providing national and international visibility to the research carried out by institutions in Espírito Santo. Initiatives that support events, visits, and fellowships demonstrate the State Government’s commitment to promoting science in Espírito Santo,” said Rodrigo Varejão, Director General of Fapes.

Call for the Organization of Technical-Scientific Events

This call provides financial support for the organization of short-term technical-scientific events such as congresses, symposia, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, fairs, among others. Events may be classified as international, national, or state/regional in scope.

In total, 49 proposals were submitted in the 3rd round, of which 39 were approved—26 state-level events, 11 national events, and two international events.

Technical-Scientific Visits and Fellowships Calls

These calls selected proposals for financial support to carry out technical-scientific visits and fellowships at laboratories or research centers in Brazil or abroad.

The fellowship call approved 21 proposals—12 for graduate students and nine for researchers. The visit call approved 69 proposals—38 for students and 31 for researchers.
